About Us Grace for the Heart is a ministry born out of concern and compassion for those caught in the trap of "spiritual performance". David Orrison has been a pastor for nearly 30 years and has ministered to hundreds of people who have wanted to find the way to true peace with God. Unfortunately, most of those people believed that their own achievements and works would gain that peace. They lived in frustration and fear, knowing only that they never felt that they measured up to God's standards. The devastating effects of this concept of spirituality can be seen in the lives of those who cling to it, in the lives of their children, and in their churches. Yet, many reject the forgiveness and acceptance of God's love in Jesus Christ. The ministry of Grace for the Heart is designed to teach the sufficiency and activity of Jesus in all areas of life. We do that through this website, through seminars, through writing and personal contacts with pastors, churches, and others. David Orrison is an ordained minister with the Evangelical Free Church and has lived with his family in Colorado for over 20 years. He and his wife, Alice, have eight sons. For the first seven years of his ministry, David was a pastor in the United Presbyterian Church. He holds a PhD in Theology from Trinity Seminary. Currently, he serves full-time with Grace for the Heart. Grace for the Heart is a 501c3 organization willing and able to accept donations and is supported by the kindness of those who wish for this message to be spread broadly. Even though it is a young ministry, its message is changing churches, encouraging pastors, and reaching several countries. We invite you to learn more of this ministry.
